Meet Berni Ireland
(Chiropractic Assistant)
More than 30 years ago, Berni Ireland walked out of a classroom and into a role that would become her greatest passion. In the decades since, she has coached, mentored and trained chiropractic teams in communicating the chiropractic philosophy, and it remains one of the most rewarding parts of her work.
A Certified Chiropractic Assistant, Berni also brings training as a Life Coach and Business Coach to her work at Zest Chiropractic. That mix shows up in how she connects with patients. For her, it’s never just about the appointment. She enjoys connecting with patients, answering questions and helping create a welcoming experience at the practice.
Sharing a Zest for Life
What Berni finds most fulfilling is seeing patients take an active interest in their health and reconnect with their own sense of wellbeing. She loves being part of a team that encourages people to look after themselves and brings that enthusiasm to every interaction.

Berni’s long-standing interest in chiropractic philosophy has shaped her approach throughout her career. She particularly enjoys communicating with patients and sharing what she has learned throughout her many years in chiropractic.
Training, Leadership and Chiropractic Recognition
Berni’s involvement in chiropractic has extended well beyond her work within the practice. Over the years, she has undertaken additional training, helped establish professional organisations for chiropractic assistants and been recognised for her contribution to the chiropractic community with distinguished awards both nationally and globally.
Life Outside the Practice
When Berni’s not at the practice, you’ll usually find her in a Bikram Yoga hot room, working on her postures one class at a time. She’s happiest outdoors and loves the beach, the bush, flowers and particularly birds.
She’s also a committed reader with a keen interest in personal development. When Test cricket season rolls around, she’s fully absorbed, and she and her husband Mick also enjoy following Rugby League.
